DAY 1

Arrive at Haugesund Airport. A rental car gives you
the very best opportunity to travel around in our
region.
The easiest way to get to and from Suldal is by car from
Haugesund Airport. Driving from Haugesund, highway E134 will
take you to Suldal within 2 hours.

Suldal municipality is a part of Ryfylke, witch is a sheltered fjord region, located north
of Stavanger and east of Haugesund. Stay 2 nights at the excellent Ryfylke Fjordhotel
in Sand.
Ryfylke Fjord Hotel – Sand
Relax at the pleasant Ryfylke Fjord Hotel in Sand where you will find an ambient
atmosphere and excellent cuisine. Dine in the outdoor restaurant and have an
enjoyable meal against the backdrop of a shimmering fjord and majestic mountains.
By car it takes normally 2 hours to get from the airport to the hotel, incl. a ferry trip
cross the fjord which takes 10 minutes.
DAY 2

The trip starts at Gullingen Tourist Centre which is 20 minutes
drive from the hotel.
This walk takes you through steep forest terrain bringing you
up to the mountain, which
Provides a magnificent view of the mountain ranges and the
fjords. This is an area of great scenic beaty. Estimated
duration of the trip is 5 hours.

DAY 3

Sand – Preikestolen (The Pulpit Rock)
An early start from Suldal is recommended to drive to
Preikestolen. The drive takes about 2,5 hours and takes you
through beautiful Norwegian landscape, included a ferry
crossing from Nesvik - Hjelmeland. This natural ledge offers a
magnificent view over the fjord, a sheer 604 metres below.
The walk to the top takes 2 hours each way. Paid parking by
Preikestolhytta.
Rica Park Hotel – Stavanger
After your walk drive further to the oil city of Stavanger. Stay
your last night at Rica Park Hotel. The hotel is located near
Rogaland Theatre and within a few minutes walk of the town
centre. Of a high standard, the hotel is designed for business
people who need extra space to work. The hotel is also ideal
for weekend breaks and family holidays.

DAY 4
After a nice breakfast drive towards Haugesund and the airport. The drive takes about
